Background: Seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp (SDS) is a common dermatose condition. The appearance of flaking and inflammatory skin lesions, often accompanied by itching, negatively impacts the patient’s psychological state, leading to social maladjustment, and requires active treatment.
Objective: Evaluation of the efficacy of Sebozol Pro shampoo in patients with SDS
Materials and methods: An open, non-comparative study involving 30 patients with SDS was conducted. Sebozol Pro shampoo was recommended for use followed by a switch to Sebozol Basis shampoo for sensitive scalp. The severity of seborrheic dermatitis, the impact of the dermatosis on patients’ quality of life, the efficacy of the study drug, and its safety were assessed in patients.
Results: The use of Sebozol Pro shampoo in patients with SDS resulted in a reduction in flaking and erythema by the 7th day of use in the vast majority of patients. By the 14th day of treatment, the skin process had completely resolved in almost all patients. No side effects were observed in any of the patients.
Conclusion: These results allow us to recommend Sebozol Pro shampoo as an effective and safe treatment for SDS.
