Interdisciplinary approach to prevention of otitis externa recurrence in patients with underlying dermatological diseases
Otitis externa is one of the most common diagnoses in the practice of an otolaryngologist. The cause of otitis externa include changes in the normal microflora of the skin of the external auditory canal, injuries to the outer ear, or dermatoses of various etiologies. In this regard, diagnostic algorithms for otitis externa should include a search for background dermatoses, and therapeutic strategies should include correction of background diseases. In the presence of background dermatological diseases, the risk of relapses and chronicity of otitis externa increases significantly, which requires the development and implementation of modern methods of prevention.Gaydina T.A., Munzalevskaya Yu.D., Silin A.A.
