Anxiety and depression as risk factors of cardiovascular diseases: possibilities of medicamentous correction
The article is dedicated to the problem of psychopathological disorders in the internal medicine and their impact on the course of somatic, in particular cardiovascular diseases. General practitioners often are faced with depression and anxiety disorders. Given the fact that currently depression is considered as an independent factor of cardiovascular disease, and depression and anxiety more frequently occurs in patients with coronary heart disease than an average of population, timeliness of diagnosis and treatment of these disorders are critical issue for internists.
