Current view on insulin therapy in patients with diabetes mellitus
The importance of prevention of micro- and macrovascular complications of diabetes mellitus (DM) is emphasized, the factors contributing to their development are concerned. The basic principles of glycemic control in the type 1 DM (type 1 diabetes) are discussed. The results of clinical studies of Rinsulin P and Rinsulin NPH effectivness in 25 patients with type 1 diabetes receiving intensive insulin therapy are presented. Based on the results of this study, we can suggest the good efficacy, tolerability and safety of insulin therapy with Rinsulin in patients with type 1 diabetes.
