The effects of cytoprotectors Meksikor and Mildronate in combination antihypertensive therapy with metoprolol on the level of serum lipid peroxidation products, daily blood pressure profile, morphofunctional state of left ventricular myocardium and the state of the vessel wall in patients with arterial hypertension are evaluated. The results indicate the perspective use of Meksikor and Mildronate in combination with metoprolol in the treatment of hypertension. At that, Meksikor compared with Mildronate have a more significant positive effect on level of serum lipid peroxidation products, processes of deremodeling infarction and intracardiac hemodynamics.
