Current possibilities of anxiety disorders therapy in general practice
We outlined current understanding about the clinical presentation and psychopharmacotherapy management of patients with anxious-phobic (APD) and anxiety-depressive disorders in general practice. The present article is dedicated to the issues of classification, APD diagnosis, given special attention to panic disorder. We emphasized not only the high comorbidity presence of anxiety disorders specific variants, but their frequent combination with depression. Presented main groups of drugs used to treat anxiety-depressive disorders: benzodiazepine tranquilizers, antipsychotics, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors group of antidepressants, tricyclic antidepressants.
