Patient-oriented choice of therapy for inflammatory bowel diseases: a clinical case
The presented clinical case demonstrates the difficulties in choosing biological therapy for induction and maintenance of remission of Crohn’s disease (CD) and the need for a patient-oriented approach taking into account the patient’s profile and clinical situation. TOne of the effective drugs with a high safety profile, including elderly patients, low immunogenicity, which remains effective in the 2nd and further line of biological therapy, is an anti-cytokine drug, a monoclonal antibody against the p40 subunits of IL-12 and IL-23 ustekinumab.I.G.
